Some of you have heard of parrotworks.
Some have heard of shirt.woot.
Some both.
I'll try to get you all caught up.
Please take the time to read this. There is important information that will help you help me in future t-shirt competitions.
Parrotworks is my own multimedia business I've had for over a decade. I've done lots of cool stuff for lotsa big names. You don't care..let's move on.
Woot is a online merchant that runs a somewhat intense weekly t-shirt design competition that I enter under the name parrotworks (coincidence?). Generally I have fun creating designs but don't attract too much attention.
Things changed significantly on August 30th, when my design People on the Bus placed third with 836 votes and went to print. In the first 24 hours, 2500 shirts were sold.
Okay -- here's the funky part if you are new to Woot. The ONLY way to vote for an artist's t-shirt designs is to have purchased a t-shirt or other product from Woot in the past. So if you buy this shirt today or in the near future, you become a voter for future competitions!
OK, that was the important one but I've got more ramblings if you are still procrastinating from whatever it was you were supposed to be doing before you ended up here.

A few credits before I forget:

- Brian Tabak: Turning me onto this Woot thing - darn you

A talented Woot veteran who has helped along the way
I will have more to blab about in the next week or so but I'm way to tired to cover it all now...
Thank you all for your support. It has been an amazing ride.
Update: "Reckoning"
How long is the shirt available?
The short answer is I do not know.
Each week my shirt must maintain enough sales to continue to stay in print. I'm not stressing about this. However it helps clarify the availability of the shirt.
Each Monday, Woot has about 27 shirts on sale and based on sales performance it discontinues spots 21-27. The top 20 continue to survive for another week.
So far, I survived my first reckoning but at the moment this coming Monday is a big unknown. Last I checked I was in 18th place.
Once People on the Bus is removed from print the copyright terms say it's gone forever!
So if you really want one, and you wait to order, you may miss the bus. (terrible, I know).
